DwellScape Investments Founder, General Partner

Joël Labonté moved to Alberta in the early 2000’s and within a few years  he had started his contracting business specializing in residential and commercial flooring projects. He has also worked as a project manager on various home renovations, and helped owners and investors with planning, and construction of their secondary suites.

Joël has had an interest in Real Estate investing for many years and in 2012 began his education to advance his learning through the The Real Estate Investment Network (REIN). Shortly after, he purchased his first investment property where he added value and income to the property by creating a fully suited 2 unit rental. In 2018 he switched his education focus to Multifamily Apartment Buildings to eventually start DwellScape Investments. 

In May 2021, DwellScape Investments purchased their first 17 unit apartment building in Cranbrook, BC. With value add through renovation, reduced expenses, and rental increases, the business model for DwellScape Investments is proving to be successful.

In his free time Joël enjoys spending time with his family and friends in the outdoors. Some of these adventures include rock climbing, mountain biking, canoeing, and fly fishing. 

Joël has always taken on his business, and personal ventures with determination, integrity, and passion.
